HMS Dorlin was a wartime naval shore establishment based on six estate houses; Dorlin, Roshven, Shielbridge, Salen, Glencripesdale and Glenborrodale.

Tony Colvin has created two papers relating to HMS Dorlin; one a Timeline on the 3rd British Infantry Division and other units, and one on Brigadier Montanaro, who kept many records of his wartime activities.
