The minutes of the former meeting being read were approved of. -

Wid McLachlan Ockles claim rejected having able bodied children and other assistance.

[IN MARGIN: For reporting on the state of the poor] Mr Robertson who attended all the trial meetings [poss inser point] for the Inspector reported verbally - The Inspector handed in a list of the poor of the parish whose cases had been considered which being read, - the Board adopt with the exception of the following alterations. -

The Board understand that the allowances fixed as above will cover all expenses except ?medical attendance. - it being understood that the paupers be allowed to supplement the above by their own Exertions - but any pauper found publicly begging in the parish to be struck off the list.

Anyheilt. Sarah Cameron & her child to be brought home from Glasgow to her fathers.

In the case of Ann McDonald the Inspector to require more detailed information as to her parentage.

Sarah McGillivray's child to be brought home by Sarah Cameron.

Margt ?McCallum to enquire into her state of health & appoint to bring her home.

To enquire the ages of John McDonald piper's children.

Portun  Hugh McIntyre & Mrs Hugh McIntyre to be brought to the Country.

Portun  Refuse the application of Duncan McKenzie ?Fort Wm for ?coals on acct of his mother in law Wid D Cameron.

Portun  To have Allan McPhees children brought to the country.

Kilmonivaig  Ditto Alexander McGilvray upon the Inspector finding a place to put them into.

Ditto with Inspector of Greenock as to Wid Dugd McEachern.

Refuse the application of the Tarbert tenants

Strontian  Mary Cameron care 3 children - admitted at the rate of £5 per annum.

John McDiarmid, Camusnagaul. The Inspector to enquire into his age and get Certificates & if only ten old years to allow him £2 on condition that he pays the schoolfees & produces certificates of his regular attendance.

Margaret Cameron - Scotstown - To get medical Certificate of her inability to work.

Ann McMaster, Ardnastang - Temporary relief of £2 and to take charge of Sarah Cameron Scotstown - & to send her youngest boy home to his father.

The Board is   ?? to  ??  money payments as soon after the 12[9]th of August as corresponds with the ?best distribution of meal. Requests the Financial Committee to make the necessary arrangement for carrying out the payment  to make the first payment for such a period as may facilitate the carrying out of the scheme. - it being understood that the payments are to be quarterly in future.
