1079 Scottish Crown acknowledged Norse as sovereigns of islands of the
West except those in Clyde. 800 on Norse begin to come into Ardnam.
Around 1125 Somerled becomes leader in Morvern. 1140 marries Ragnhildis,
daughter of Olaf the Red, king of Sudereys & Man. 1156 treaty
ended warring against Norwegians. Ardnam goes to Somerled but
all land north remained under Norwegian control for another
100 years. Somerled killed in 1164 at Renfrew fighting Malcolm
IV. Grandson Donald founder of Clan

Glenuig, Moidart July 15th 1820. He settled in Keppoch, Antigonish
County, NS in 1830. 'Bˆthadh nam Fear' composed by AMacD, 'the
